The Town of Sykesville is seeking Election Judges and alternates to fill two-year terms for the election that will take place on May 2, 2017. The term shall begin the first Monday in March 2017 and shall run for two years. The election judges shall be registered voters of the Town and shall not hold or be candidates for any elective office during their term of office. Election Judges will be compensated for time worked on regular and special Town election days.
Letters of interest must be received at the Town House by the close of business on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Judges must be available on Election Day, May 2. In addition, all Election Judges will be sworn into office at the Mayor and Town Council on February 27 at 7:00 p.m. For more information contact Kerry Chaney at email@example.com or 410-795-8959.
The Town Election is on May 2, 2017. The Mayor, a four-year term, and three four-year terms as Council Member are up for election. Nominations will be taken at the March 27 Mayor and Town Council meeting. Nominees must be registered voters in the Town of Sykesville and must have maintained a residence in Town for at least one year.
