The election is on May 2. Polls will be open from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. at the Town House.
Candidate Forum
On Monday, April 17 from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M., a Municipal Candidates Forum will held at the Sykesville Town House, 7547 Main Street. It will also be streamed live online at www.carrollmediacenter.org. If you would like to submit a question for the candidates, please email it to town@sykesville.net by noon on Friday, April 14. The public is welcome to attend the event, and ask questions of the candidates, time permitting.
Voter Registration
Voter Registration closes on April 14. Registration with the Carroll County Board of Elections by a qualified voter who has a domicile within the Town limits and has resided within the Town limits not less than 30 days preceding the next Town elections shall be deemed registration for Town elections. Registration forms may be picked up at the Sykesville Town House, at Carroll County Board of Elections or on the website at http://ccgovernment.carr.org/ccg/electionboard. Absentee Ballots
Absentee Ballots may be obtained by contacting Kerry Chaney at kchaney@sykesville.net or at 410-795-8959 and requesting an absentee ballot application. Absentee ballots must be returned to the Town House before the polls close at 8 P.M. on May 2.
